A Booze Blunder, A Hotel Plunder, and a Roundabout Wonder, It’s Roundup!

Note From The Editor:

There were some pretty big crimes listed in Canyon County this week.  I didn’t miss them, i just couldn’t do them in a way that kept the victims safe and out of the public eye.

Akearoon Wali

Narrative:

Wali was arrested along with several others for allegedly orchestrating a targeted attack on an un-named individual in the Walmart Parking lot on Overland back in September.  There are four other conspirators named in the indictment against Wali, but it’s a sensitive investigation so i’m going to redact them.

1 – On Sept 9th, [Suspect 1] obtained social media contact information of the victim

2 – On Sept 9th or 10th, [Suspect 1] and others electronically communicated with [Victim]

3 – On Sept 10th, [Suspect 1], WALI, [Suspect 2] and [Suspect 3] met to plan an attack on [Victim]

4 .  [Suspect 1], WALI, [Suspect 2] and [Suspect 3] obtained weapons.

5 – WALI supplied a handgun for the attack.

6 – [Suspect 1], WALI, [Suspect 2], and [Suspect 3], and others traveled to plan the attack.

7 –  [Suspect 1], WALI, [Suspect 2], and [Suspect 3] obtained and used masks to hide their identities

8 –  The four hid and laid in wait to attack Victim

9 –  An unnamed member of the conspiracy picked up and drove Victim to the area of the attack.

10 – The four dragged Victim out of the unnamed member’s car.

11 – The four pointed a firearm at the Victim

12 – The four kicked, stomped beat up Victim

13 – The four fled the scene.

Conspiracy to Commit Grand Theft – F

Narrative:

Gafoor was arrested for allegedly stealing money from three hotels he worked for between January and August 2022.  According to court records, Gafoor and two others accepted cash payment for hotel stays, and pocketed it.

This type of crime is prevalent in almost all industries.  They are incredibly hard to catch and prosecute.

Joseph Guille

Narrative:

Guille was arrested for allegedly smashing the front window of a vehicle and grabbing a cell phone from inside.  He managed to do this in front of three witnesses, who promptly called the police.  He initially tried to run from police but didn’t get very far.

Selling Liquor Without a License – F

Unlawful Possession of Alcoholic Beverages – M

Maintaining a Liquor Nuisance – M

Narrative:

Anderson was arrested for serving alcohol at a Small Business Saturday event in Meridian without an approved alcohol catering permit.  Anderson’s application had been denied for the event after ISP determined she was applying under a liquor license she didn’t control.

On Saturday, ISP allegedly set up a sting to catch her operating without a license and took her into custody without issue.  Thanks for making Small Business Saturday lame, ISP.

Narrative:

Sendeno-Barron was arrested after plowing through the center island of a roundabout, taking out a yield sign in the process.  An officer saw the whole event and pulled him over in short order.  Sendeno-Barron immediately got out of the vehicle and told police he’d been drinking all day.

After some choice words with Caldwell PD, he was booked into Canyon County Jail, where he allegedly tried to spit on one of the officers (that’s where the battery charge comes from.)
