A December Duster, a Tazer Buster, and an Insurance Hustler. It’s Roundup!

Note From The Editor:

You know you’ve got the winter blues when you’re kinda envious of the guy who got arrested for huffing keyboard duster up on Federal Way.  He sounded so happy!

Heather Bolen

Arrest Date:
30/11/2023
Location:
West Emerald Street & North Cole Road, Boise, ID, USA
Age:
36
Charges:

Unlawful Entry – M

Narrative:

Bolen was arrested after police found her camped out in the garage of a home near the intersection of Cole and Emerald just before midnight.  After her arrest, Bolen asked the officer, unprovoked, if there was anything in her backpack she needed to explain…

Editors Note: This is not a great question to ask a police officer who’s currently arresting you.

The officer inquisitively asked her “WHY?” and Bolen explained she had a small bag of tree sap she uses to help start camp fires.

Welp, it wasn’t tree sap.

After testing the black, sticky substance back at the station, officers determined it was actually meth.  48 grams of it to be precise.

David O’Howell

Arrest Date:
02/12/2023
Location:
Caldwell, Idaho, USA
Age:
45
Charges:

Aggravated assault with a Deadly Weapon – F

Resisting Arrest – F

Narrative:

O’Howell might be most-tazer’ed individual we’ve ever featured here on Roundup, and that’s saying something.

According to court records, Caldwell police conducted a high-risk traffic stop on O’Howell near the intersection of Kartcher and Middleton.  O’Howell was a suspect in a recent disturbance call in which he allegedly brandished a knife.

Caldwell PD told O’Howell to step out of the vehicle and get on the ground, which he wasn’t super keen on given the recent snowfall.  He allegedly tried to make his way back to his vehicle, and two Caldwell PD officers taser’ed him.

Nothing happened.

They taser’ed him four more times and shot him with a 40mm bean bag round before they were finally able to get cuffs on him.

I’m skipping over a lot of info here to protect the victims of the initial disturbance call.  Just know, Caldwell Police weren’t just tazering for the sake of it, they had legitimate reason (in my opinion).

Location:
Canyon County, ID, USA
Age:

Charges:

3x – Insurance fraud – F

Narrative:

Kipper was arrested for trying to get her car insurance company to pay for damages that occurred before she was covered.

According to court documents, Kipper submitted a claim on September 9th saying her car had been hit the day prior in New Plymouth, and the other driver had fled the scene.  Unfortunately for her, the insurance company pulled body cam footage from a traffic stop a month prior in Boise, which allegedly showed the car had the same damage she was trying to claim.

To add insult to injury, she was cited for not having insurance during that traffic stop.

To add even MORE insult to injury, the car was allegedly damaged when SHE hit someone in Boise and fled the scene.
