I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday. I’m trying to quit smoking again, so everything today has an extra pinch of snark in it.

Sena was arrested for allegedly punching a cop during an altercation near Lake Harbor Lane in Boise Saturday night.
According to court records, officers responded to the area after receiving reports of a suspicious subject. There’s a lot of dead-end details in the court documents (including four strangers, and an injured naked woman in the parking lot) but they don’t add up to anything; so yada yada yada, alcohol is believed to be a factor.
Sena was allegedly combative with police, so officers tried to subdue him with what’s known as ‘Soft Empty Hand’ techniques, which uses joint locks, grabs and holds to subdue a subject. After the officer allegedly got punched, police switched to the “Hard empty hand” technique, which is Orwellian code for punching (not judging officer decisions, just not a fan of them having to PR their language).

Lets put a positive spin on this:
If Hansen’s New Years resolution was to pull his junk out at a vape store in Kuna, he accomplished it.

Koen was arrested for allegedly pistol-whipping someone with a 9mm hand gun. This looks really fun on TV, but in reality, it’s at least two felonies. Tack on another one if you point the gun at the victim (which he allegedly did). The incident took place on December 30th.

Seaman was arrested for allegedly trying to cash a $3,000 check that didn’t belong to him at a bank in Caldwell. He was also allegedly tased twice during his arrest and spent several days in the hospital for broken ribs.
According to the officers involved, Seamen refused to comply with their commands during the arrest, and since his cane could have been used as a potential weapon, they tased him. After the initial taser deployment, Seamen allegedly kept grabbing at his waistband (a big no-no) so they tased him again.
Officers noted during interviews Seamen seemed confused, and was unable to pinpoint his location, or the current us president.

Morrison was arrested for leading ISP troopers on a high speed chase at about 11:00a yesterday near the intersection of Highway 95 and 20/26. Troopers and other agencies pursued Morrison for 13 miles, reaching speeds up to 100 miles an hour.
Morrison eventually drove off the side of the road as she tried to avoid a spike strip near the intersection of Highway 20/26 and I-84. Her vehicle was immobilized in the soft dirt of the shoulder, and she was taken into custody without further incident.

Read Allen Carr’s “Easy Way to Stop Smoking.” It’s short and it works, because it’s the right method. People who can’t quit use the wrong methods.
