One person is dead following a vehicle verses bicycle accident near Merchant Way in Nampa early this morning.  According to a release from Nampa Police, an adult male riding an electric bicycle collided with a pickup truck at just after 6:00 AM near the 16000 block of Merchant Way.

The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, but died of their injuries.

Nampa Police are investigating the crash.  The victims identity will be released pending next of kin notification.
