Coroner’s Report: Meridian Homicide Victims Cause of Death

The Coroner’s office released the cause of death for the two women murdered in Meridian last night.  According to the Ada County Coroner’s office, 41-year-old Sarah Walmsley and 33-year-old Emily Works both suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

Meridian police say Walmsley and Works were killed by 31-year-old Clint Caleb Powers at a home near James Court in Meridian at about 7:00 pm.  Powers was located a few hours later, still in the neighborhood.  He killed himself after a brief shootout with police near Zircon Avenue.
