Boise Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early this morning in East Boise.  According to a press release from BPD,  police and fire units responded to the 5000 block of S. Impatiens Place at 1:25 AM after they received a report that a vehicle had collided with a fence.  Boise fire units pulled a victim from the vehicle and attempted life saving measures, but unfortunately he passed away at the scene.

The BPD crash reconstruction team is investigating.  They say preliminary evidence suggest the driver was headed east on Lake Forest drive at a high rate of speed when he left the road way near S. Impatiens place, crossed over the berm and struck a large tree, and then a fence.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim after next of kin is notified.

It appears the victim was the only occupant of the vehicle, and no other cars were involved.
