Vehicular Manslaughter Suspect had BAL Twice Legal Limit

According to court documents, 23-year-old Kailee Cameron allegedly had a blood alcohol level of .23 when she hit 54-year-old Ian Stickler at the intersection of Chinden and Cloverdale on October 19th.

Cameron was traveling North on Cloverdale in a Chevy Suburban, Stickler was traveling East on Chinden in an unknown pickup. The impact forced both vehicles through a chainlink fence north of Chinden, coming to a rest on Chinden Ridge Drive.

Stickler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cameron turned herself in to authorities late last week shortly after prosecutors filed Vehicular Manslaughter charges against her. She was released after posting a $250,000 surety bond.

According to Pines Recover Center online, at .23 you’ll feel dazed, confused, and disoriented. Balance and muscle control have deteriorated, and you may need help walking. You may not notice if you injure yourself, as feelings of pain are numbed.
